I had the pleasure of working with Kristina and Andrew in early August, the day before my own wedding. The ceremony was held in St. John’s Church and the reception was held in drop gorgeous Hotel Kämp, Mirror Room which never disappoints. Also the service in Hotel Kämp is exceptional and one of the best I have experienced in Finland.
I was still suffering from the inflammation of meninges, but everything went very smoothly – For the first time in my whole career, I had a friend as an assistant, carrying my 10kg+ equipment bag during the portrait session.
The pictures are absolutely perfect. Exceptional job. We’re very happy, and Kristina has already cried a few times (because she’s happy :))
We’re very happy we chose you as our photographer. They’re the most beautiful pictures we’ve ever had.”
-Andy & Kristina
To be honest, I was first terrified to accept this booking. The Bride was a Finnish professional model living and working in Hong Kong, so she knew exactly what she wanted from the wedding photographer with very high expectations. The wedding itself was small, lovely and intimate, held in the gorgeous Hotel Kämp Mirror Room.
On technical side, I have noticed that lately I haven’t used the 24-70mm zoom at all. I just love the look of 50mm 1.2L when used in wide open and I have dropped 24-70mm lens out of my camera bag that I carry for the weddings, leaving 16-35mm 2.8L II as the only zoom lens in the bag. Last year I already ditched the 70-200mm 2.8L IS,which I replaced with the 135mm 2.0L prime.
My faves from the day, all shots taken with the 24mm 1.4L II, 50mm 1.2L or 85mm 1.2L II prime lenses. I shot most of the day with 3 cameras.
“Hi! Really beautiful photos, thank you!” -Silja
