In early August, Riikka and Antti got married at Tenalji von Fersen in Suomenlinna. The preparation took place in Hotel Haven and the beautiful ceremony in St. John’s Church.
For photographers: I’ve now shot a few weddings with the new Canon 5D MKIII, and I’ve been surprised at how much better I can shoot different scenes. I can react slightly better thanks to the faster focusing, and because the camera is quieter, people pay less attention to the fact that they are being photographed. For the same reason I only use flash when I absolutely need to – people do notice it immediately. It can be very annoying, both for the couple and the guests, if the light flashes hundreds or thousands of times during the day. I think it’s important that taking photos does not attract any extra attention in the wedding.
Early December I was blessed to work with Liisa & Philip’s very unique wedding. Preparation was in Hotel Haven and ceremony was held first time ever on long history of The National Library of Finland. It was great to be part of making history and really awesome place to work as we were surrounded thousands books, some of them couple hundred years old. Reception was held in Restaurant Savoy.
